6 SECONDS IS ENOUGH

Many places, one Europe.

Photo Emotion is a new format for six-second vertical images saved directly in the app. Each record is created in real time, in one take, without filters, sound, captions, post-production or AI.

Show what you see

Six seconds is short, but enough to show what we truly see. Each record can become a point on the European Map of Emotion Records.

Collection

A private account can hold up to 6 sixes. A collection record is not yet a submission. The limit encourages conscious selection.

Competition with prizes

One six is selected for the competition. Submissions close on 28 August 2026 at 23:59 Warsaw time. The Grand Prix is EUR 10,000 and 41 Photo Emotion awards are EUR 200 each.

Circles of shared spaces

An adult can create a private circle and invite others with an access code. People in the circle see one another's collections and can help one another choose.

Key points

Who can take part?

People aged 12 and older can take part in Photo Emotion. Adults may participate independently. Minors aged 12 to 18 may record sixes and build a collection, but they need to join an adult's circle before submitting a work.

What is a six?

A six is the Photo Emotion format: an exactly 6-second vertical moving image recorded directly in the app, in real time and in one take.

Can I add a video from my phone gallery?

No. Only a six recorded directly in the Photo Emotion app can be submitted. A file downloaded or saved outside the app cannot be re-imported as a submission.

Can I edit a submitted six?

No. A six cannot be edited, assembled, corrected, filtered or changed after recording. Until submissions close, the submission may be withdrawn or replaced with another record from the collection.

What is the collection?

The collection is a private place for up to 6 records. A collection record is not yet a competition submission. One six is selected from the collection for the competition.

How do circles work?

A circle is a private collection space. It is created by an adult who invites others with an access code. People in the circle see one another's records and can help one another choose.

Who can see my collection?

Collection records are visible to their owner and people in the same circle. The collection is not a public stream. A submitted six may be seen by the Organizer and Jury.

Why does Photo Emotion need location?

Device location is used while recording to link a six to a city or town and build the Photo Emotion map. The app may process geographic coordinates, the place name, country and recording time as described in the Privacy Policy.

Who selects the laureates?

Laureates are selected by an anonymous Jury appointed by the Organizer. There is no public voting, likes, comments or popularity ranking.

What are the awards?

This edition awards cash prizes only: the Photo Emotion Grand Prix of EUR 10,000 and 41 Photo Emotion awards of EUR 200 each.

What is the submission deadline?

Submissions for the Photo Emotion Competition close on 28 August 2026 at 23:59 Warsaw time.
